Section 01
Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Quetxt service at quetxt.com, including checks used without an account, registered accounts, reports and paid packages.
By using Quetxt, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use Quetxt for a school, university, company or another organization, you confirm that you are permitted to act for that organization where authorization is required.
A person who cannot lawfully agree to these Terms should use Quetxt only with any authorization required by applicable law.
Section 02

- “Submitted content” means text, a file or a URL provided for analysis.
- “Plagiarism check” means comparison of submitted text with available sources to identify similarity and source matches.

Section 03
The service and reports
Quetxt provides plagiarism checking and probabilistic AI detection. You may use either type of analysis separately or request both.
Plagiarism checking and AI detection answer different questions. Their results remain separate and are not combined into one score.
Plagiarism results
- A plagiarism report may show similarity information, highlighted passages, available source URLs and the percentage associated with each detected source.
- A source match indicates textual similarity that should be reviewed in context.
- Quetxt does not guarantee detection of every match, citation issue or paraphrased passage.
AI detection results
- AI probability estimates the probability that the text as a whole was generated by AI.
- Total AI rate represents the share of sentences or fragments marked as likely AI-associated.
- Sentence-level indicators may be included where available.
- AI detection is probabilistic and can produce false positives and false negatives.
- Quetxt does not reliably identify which named AI model produced a text.
A report is information for review. It does not prove plagiarism, misconduct, AI authorship or the identity of an author. No result should be the sole basis for an academic, disciplinary, employment, legal or similarly significant decision.
Available input methods may include pasted text, a single file, multiple files or a URL. Input methods are not necessarily used at the same time. Current limits and supported formats are shown in the checker interface.
Section 04
Accounts and access
When you create or use an account, you agree to:
- Provide information that is accurate enough to operate and recover the account.
- Keep sign-in credentials confidential.
- Avoid giving another person access in a way that creates a security risk or violates these Terms.
- Contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.
- Take reasonable responsibility for activity caused by your own use of the account or failure to protect access.
Report suspected account misuse to [email protected].
Free access
- Without registration, you may check up to 150 words a day without adding a payment card.
- A registered account receives a one-time allowance of 1,000 words and a separate daily allowance of 300 words.
- The one-time registered allowance and the daily allowance are not presented as one guaranteed first-day total.
- Free quota is shared between plagiarism checking and AI detection.
- Free access is subject to reasonable technical and anti-abuse controls and is not unlimited.
Section 05
Acceptable use
You must not use Quetxt to:
- Break applicable law or infringe another person’s rights.
- Submit content that you are not permitted to analyze.
- Process personal or confidential data unlawfully.
- Create accounts or use technical methods to evade free quotas, package limits or security controls.
- Interfere with, overload, damage or test the service without authorization.
- Use malware, harmful code or abusive automated traffic.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the service’s analysis methods, models or protected software.
- Copy, resell, frame or commercially exploit Quetxt without permission.
- Access or attempt to access another user’s account, document or report.
- Use a report to harass, defame, wrongfully accuse or automatically punish another person.
Quetxt may take proportionate action when use creates a legal, security, payment or abuse risk.
Section 06
Submitted content
You retain the rights you hold in submitted content. You confirm that you have the right or permission required to submit it for analysis.
You grant Quetxt a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, process, compare, store and display submitted content only as needed to operate the service, create reports, maintain requested account features and meet legal obligations.
- Submitted documents are not used to train AI models.
- Submitted documents are not automatically added to the general comparison database.
- A private, user or institutional repository is used only when it has been separately connected or activated.
- You can delete stored documents and can request account deletion.
- Storage, deletion and personal-data handling are described in the Privacy Policy.
Shareable report links
A person who receives a shareable report link may be able to view the linked report. You are responsible for deciding who receives the link and for removing access when it is no longer needed.
Section 07
Quetxt intellectual property
The Quetxt name, logo, interface, page design, report structure, software and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Quetxt or third-party source materials.
Source pages, publications and other third-party materials remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners.
Section 08
Free access, payments and refunds
Prices and payment
Current prices and exact word allowances are shown on the Pricing page and in the selected package before purchase.
- Prices are displayed in US dollars unless the checkout expressly states otherwise.
- Supported payment methods are Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
- Plagiarism and AI allowances may be listed separately in a paid package.
- A successful paid check deducts the applicable quota.
One-time packages
- A one-time package is paid for once.
- It does not expire.
- Unused paid balance remains available until it is used.
- It never renews automatically.
Period packages
- Period packages are available for 30, 90 or 365 days.
- The applicable period, price and allowance are shown before purchase.
- Unused quota does not roll over after the selected period ends.
- A period package ends on its stated date unless recurring billing was separately enabled.
Recurring billing
- Recurring billing is optional.
- It uses a separate control and is not selected by default.
- You must actively enable it before an automatic renewal can occur.
- Turning recurring billing off prevents the next renewal charge.
- Turning it off does not remove access already paid for during the current period.
- One-time packages are never subject to recurring billing.
Voluntary refunds
Subject to mandatory legal rights, Quetxt may provide a voluntary refund for a paid package that has not been used.
- A package is treated as used after a successful paid check deducts quota.
- A failed or technical check is not treated as use when the deducted quota is restored or the charge is reversed.
- For a recurring package, a voluntary refund may apply only to the latest renewal and only when its quota has not been used at all.
- Earlier paid periods and a partially used latest period are not covered by this voluntary refund policy.
- Refunding an eligible recurring renewal also turns recurring billing off.
- Mandatory statutory refund, conformity and consumer rights remain unaffected.
EU and EEA withdrawal rights
An eligible consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area may have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online service contract, subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
Beginning performance during that period does not automatically remove every withdrawal right. Where applicable law permits proportional compensation for service already supplied, it applies only when the legal requirements for an express request, consent and prior information have been met.
To ask about withdrawal or a refund, contact [email protected]. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Section 09
Availability and service changes
Quetxt may update the interface, technical limits, report presentation and service operation to maintain, secure or improve the product.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, provider issues or other technical events. Quetxt does not promise a specific uptime or uninterrupted access.
Current package details are shown before purchase. Service changes do not remove mandatory rights or remedies attached to a package already purchased.
Section 10
Report limitations
Reports depend on the submitted content, available comparison sources and probabilistic analysis. Results may be incomplete or change when sources, systems or text change.
- A plagiarism check may miss sources, citation issues or paraphrased plagiarism.
- AI detection may produce false positives and false negatives.
- A high or low result does not prove misconduct, authorship or use of a particular AI model.
- Matched passages and sources should be reviewed rather than relying only on a percentage.
- A report does not replace an instructor, editor, institutional review process or legal advice.
You are responsible for interpreting the report in context and for obtaining additional review before making a significant decision.
Section 11
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the legality of submitted content, the accuracy of information you provide and your intentional or negligent misuse of the service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Quetxt is not responsible for loss caused by using a report as an automatic verdict, sharing a report link with an unintended recipient, or failing to protect account access.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies or consumer protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct where relevant.
Section 12
Suspension and cancellation
Your choices
- Turn recurring billing off to prevent the next renewal charge.
- Continue using a paid period package until its scheduled end after renewal is turned off.
- Delete stored documents.
- Request deletion of the account.
- Contact support about access, billing, refund or deletion.
Restriction or suspension by Quetxt
Quetxt may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary because of a material breach, fraud or payment abuse, a security risk, unlawful activity, attempted access to another user’s data, or a binding legal requirement.
Where practical and appropriate, Quetxt may provide notice and an opportunity to correct a non-urgent breach. Immediate action may be required for serious security, fraud or legal risks.
After access ends, provisions that by their nature need to remain effective may continue, including payment records, intellectual-property provisions, report limitations and applicable dispute rules.
Section 13
Applicable law and consumer rights
The law and courts that apply to these Terms are determined under applicable contract, conflict-of-law and consumer-protection rules.
A consumer does not lose mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence where those protections cannot legally be excluded by contract.
Before starting a formal dispute, you may contact [email protected] so the issue can be reviewed.
These Terms do not prevent either party from using a court, regulator, supervisory authority or consumer-protection procedure available under applicable law.
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
Section 14
Changes to these Terms
Quetxt may update these Terms when the service, packages or legal requirements change. The revised version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed.
For a material change, Quetxt may provide notice on the site or through an account communication where appropriate or required.
Changes do not apply retroactively to remove mandatory rights already acquired. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
